I am proud to be a Supporter of BACA. BACA would not exist in California if it wasn’t for my Uncle, Radar, who helped get the first chapter started out here. When to the first meeting. In memory of my sister who was beaten and suffocated by a very close family friend. I know both the men who speak in this personally, and they are great people.
Anyone can be a Supporter for BACA. And you can be a Supporter for as long as you want. You wear all the same patches, except the back patch. You don’t have to own a bike (I don’t). But you can help and do the same things (mostly) as a patched member. To become a patched member you must be a Supporter or “slick back”, also known as a prospect, for at least a year.
-Are you scared?
-Because my friends are scarier than he is.
B.A.C.A. - Bikers Against Child Abuse
I grew up in a hostile environment, so this hits home for me. Knowing that this type of organization exists gives me hope for children in abusive homes. This gives them a voice and it gives them the protection they need. Most children are too afraid to speak up, and often so are the other family members involved. Now they can be heard, and not fear the repercussions.
